I met the girls few months ago before the taping of their music video and promotion in the US, and I'm very happy to see that they do great in this tv guesting, congrats and more power to Blush.

Pop fans, mark your calendars as Westlife returns to the Philippines for a concert on September 29 at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Irish pop group is composed of Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily.

Since their debut 1998, the boys have released 10 multi-platinum albums, had 14 number 1 hits in the UK alone and sold over 44 million albums worldwide. Their original songs which became number one hits include: “Swear It Again,” “If I Let You Go,” “Flying Without Wings,” “Fool Again,” “My Love,” “World of our Own,” “Queen of my Heart”, “Unbreakable, “When You’re Looking Like That”. Their cover songs, such as “Mandy”, “Uptown Girl,” “Against All Odds (Take A Look at Me Now),” were also huge hits in the Philippines.

Aside from their multi-platinum studio albums, the group also had special releases: a Rat Pack-inspired album entitled “Allow Us to Be Frank,” and “The Love Album,” which consists of popular love song covers. Westlife is currently promoting their eleventh album “Gravity,” released in November 2010. There are two weeks left before another most sought after and talented band comes rocking Manila! It would be the band’s first ever concert in the Philippines. For over a decade now, Thirty Seconds to Mars have been busy conquering and touring several countries all across the world with the mission of bringing one of the best rock shows in this age.

Frontman Jared Leto, drummer Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Miličević are the three warriors-members of the band have conquered over 500 shows in at least 30 counties. If we saw the mash up of rock and RnB with Sponge Cola and JayR, and now here in another version we can see the mash up of two similar music style, but this time it will be for the female version, my favorite female rock band General Luna will rock their way to ride the lightning with RnB princess Kyla. The set up is the same, but this mash up show that they can do what the male rockers and Rnb artist do. Coca-Cola Music Station is here again to bring you General Luna and Kyla music collaboration.

Kyla said that their practice and rehearsal are fun and it was a successful jam even that they got a hard time getting the tune and vibe together in one song. Kyla enjoyed the mash up and she said that the band is really nice and this will be her first time to jam with the band, and she’s amazed that the song perfectly blended with General Luna’s song “Tila”.

This is the exciting part for me because I like the band General Luna and I caught this episode on Myx and I got hooked and watched their mash up performance, I didn’t expected that the music mash up will be much more good combining two songs.

Nicole, lead vocalist for General Luna said that she got starstruck when she first met Kyla to collaborate for this Coca Cola Music Station mash up performance. Nicole said that Kyla’s lyrics are very straight forward for her song “Mahal Kita”, it’s a love song after all and it relates again with their song “Tila”, it’s a big group of talented artist now jamming with a solo artist, do you think that it will blend ? to know the answer..then watch the web episode online.

What will happen if pop rock will cross the line over RnB music, its very hard to imagine and see if the blending will work, but you know that everything is possible when you blend our local artist to jam up and do a mash up of their songs and music, it will require dedication and also passion for creating new music. JayR shares that he enjoys the company with Sponge Cola band and he like the music sounds, beat box and guitar riffs of Sponge Cola. Front man of the band, Yael, spoiled everyone that he did some little dancing and he loves RnB, and for the people who fantasizes RnB and Rock mix together, now they can experience it only here in their exclusive mash up performance.

Team up of both artist are cool and happy to see that they enjoyed the jam, it is the 1st time to hear and see their own song “Puso” and “Design 4 Luv” mashed up in one song.

JayR was amazed when he first met with Sponge Cola, as he say that the band always jam up with their instruments and JayR love that and want to play that way and this collab with the band is very different and special compare to his collab with other bands (he mentioned alternative bands, I wonder what band is that..) On the other hand the members of Sponge Cola, namely Yael, Gosh, Ted and Armo shares that they love Rnb music too, so that’s a perfect answer that’s why they blended easily with JayR’s music style.

Sponge Cola band loves Jay R’s style and they revealed that he is a fine person and great artist- musician. They said that combining their songs are like that are related to each other, because it shares the same theme. The mash up music levels up the music style to influence others to try the mash up scene and love drinking Coca-Cola, funny that they call it “aqua negra”, they drink it after playing basketball.

Mixing rock with hip hop and RnB lyrics for “Design 4 Luv” are blended to well, my wish is that it will be more good if they added turn table and mixing effects to add more hip hop over the heavy guitar riffs. On “Puso” the rock music and heavy guitar riffs became noisy as always and followed by beat boxing music by an another artist with JayR.

Both titles “Puso” and “Design 4 Luv” are all about love and emotions, the two songs jam pretty well and I know JayR got the right timing to enter the RnB vibes on the heavy rock song “Puso” by Sponge Cola.

On this feature, you’ll see our Rock Princess Yeng Constantino jams with rock band Pedicab for the Coca-Cola Music Studio mash up performance.

Few weeks ago, we featured some of the top bands and performers here in my blog, but that was just the beginning and more mash up performances are now being uploaded and produced for us. You’ll see here the exchange of style and forte of each performer.

Yeng and Pedicab performed two songs– FX (song by Pedicab)and Jeepney Lovestory (song by Yeng) , its funny because the two songs are similar and based on local transpo and it also ties up with the name of the band Pedicab, which we know a sidecar in a bicycle. Yeng sings her own style with rock attitude transforming her own song “Jeepney a Lovestory” song fused with the style of Pedicab “FX” song, combination of electronica sound and rap from Diego Mapa’s rap tunes, and also followed by Yeng who raps too in her song. A cool mash up performance that you can only see here in Coca cola Music Studio.

According to Pedicab that they didn’t got any hard time collaborating with Yeng Constantino, and thanks to the music demo and practice did help a lot in the collab project, Yeng shared that she did some adjustment for her voice and guitar riffs for her song “Jeepney Lovestory”. For Pedicab gave a big plus on their experience on doing a collab with Yeng, and then Yeng also shared that she wants to do more collab with other artist and its fun and keeps the pinoy music go stronger.

”Ayaw ko nang pumara!”….”Fx”!

Listening and watching them performed live with high energy for the mash up of 2 songs created another version of their music style and also created a new song. I like the style and made Yeng’s Jeepney song a danceable version, added with a jumpy song of Pedicab’s FX.

The title of this mash up should be – “Para!”

This is one of the concert that my blog will support, I'm kinda new to their music, the band and style. I'm a late bloomer for new bands and music scene, I'm still stuck to all my fave old bands but 30 Seconds to Mars opened my mind and heart as their music and style matches the taste that I want. Awesome! I'm now watching their videos on YouTube and then I might check out their album next. This July 1, 2011, our new pop music Pan-Asian girl group Blush will have their 1st music video world premiere in Channel V and in time to launch their new HD service in selected regions (do we have here in the Philippines?? ) MORE NEWS BELOW

The music video is entitled "Undivided" which is their first single and now already reached no.47 on the Hot Dance Club Play Billboard chart. The song was co-written by the awesome hip hop icon Snoop Dogg,who is also featured on the track and now club DJ are releasing their own club remixes of Undivided, Club DJ Alex Gaudino, Morgan Page, sander Kleinenberg, manny Marroguin, Chew Fu, Eddie Amador, and Wolverine aka Junkie XL.

The music video of Undivided was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Taylor Cohen, winner of the Breakthrough video award at the MTV VMA 2009.

Our lovely girls of BLUSH is composed of Victoria Chan (China), Alisha Budhrani (India), Natusko Danjo (Japan), Ji Hae Lee (Korea) and our very own Angeli Flores (Philippines). Its great to hear good news from them and I heard that they will have an appearance on a tv show - "So you think you can dance?" in the US this July 21st.

‘Undivided’, released on the FarWest Entertainment label, was recorded at Avon Studios in Hong Kong with Steve Schnur (Grammy Foundation Chair Emeritus) and Darrell Brown as co-producers. Snoop Dogg recorded his vocals in LA in March.

Gloc 9’s “Bakit” will be mixed with Tanya Markova’s “Picture Picture”, what will be the sound of it ? adding the strong rap by Gloc 9 and the cute lyrics and line by Tanya Markova will make the music more sweet and also fun, seeing them performed live proves that our local artist can work together and cooperate in terms of creating new music.

Tanya Markova’s front man said that the two song got its jive because the lyrics and theme of the songs are very related. Gloc 9 also enjoys meeting and jamming with the band and their first meet up made them to have a serious start, but then the enjoyment never fades. Both artist are happy with the outcome and it’s a dream come true for Tanya Markova to jam with Gloc 9 and they consider him as their hidden member for the band.

Gloc 9 shared that he enjoyed the team up, and when the band Tanya Markova’s appeared in the music scene, he confesses that he is a big fan and so excited to jam up with the band. Even before the meet up, he notices that their songs can get the correct wave even if they have different styles.

Nobody can tell if the both songs can mix, but you know that Gloc 9’s rap and lyrics always blend in some songs, rap and rock can mix, rock and rap can get its jive together, and with a simple experiment and practice, both artist can get the same energy flow with each other when they work together. Enjoy it, love it and have fun with it. Watching their performance looks like the song “Picture Picture” got a new extended version when Gloc 9 did some rap lyrics in between verses of the song.

I love their team up and this is my favorite mash up of two artists for the Coca Cola Music Station. I hope they can have a live concert or a CD album of all artist who did a mash up. According to Percy Garcia, he posted this comment in the website, he said – “wow! ang gandang mash-up!!! up up up for this one!”

My Poreotics Mall Hop Coverage

I am not prepared! That's my first impression my brother Azrael told me to cover the Poreotics Presscon a while ago at The Event center in Megamall. Good thing that I brought my Samsung Corby II and took snapshots (kinda blurred but its ok) of the group. I arrived when the interview was started and the group were very proud of the warm support that the Filipinos were giving. Right after the presscon the group returned for the main show at 5pm.

As they arrived, I heard screaming of fans at the event venue. There were girls cheering for them and even brought along huge photos of the group. There goes a short interview and expressed their gratitude towards their fans. Also, they also invited everyone to come and watch them as they will performing as Justin Bieber's opening act on May 10 at SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

I’m so surprised that I won the blogger contest and Im happy that this is my chance to travel outside the Philippines for the very first time..yeah! its a great development in my life that i’ll fly out of the country and enjoy the pop culture side of life in other world. My only problem is that the concert that I want is already finished, I like to travel to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, Australia and esp. the USA. But my problem is that I have my passport here and no visa of those country like in Aus, USA and Europe. I want to watch U2 concert in London!!! hahaha or Deftones! (bec. Far West Entertainment introduces BLUSH to the media for the very first time yesterday in Dusit Hotel, and they are the first Pan-Asian girl group that will conquer the music waves of different countries.

Blush is the premiere Asian super-group that was formed at the culmination of the Project Lotus talent search.

The girls of Blush are all stand out singers and performers. Blush will sing in English but will also offer their songs in Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese.
The group's first recording was a ballad called, “Holding On To A Dream” which the girls recorded in Hong Kong with nine time Grammy Award winning producer / engineer Tal Herzberg and co-produced by Steve Schnur, Chairman Emeritus of the Grammy Foundation.

The girls are currently putting the final touches on their first pop and dance singles which will be co-produced by Steve Schnur and Darrell Brown. Assisting the girls are also many well known and highly respected music industry professionals including, Alex Gaudino, Sander Kleinenberg, JXL,
Diplo, Tiesto, Manny Marroquin, Benny Benassi and Fedde Le Grand.

Hong Kong is Blush’s Asia home. Blush will be performing around Asia until May of this year after which they will spend some time in Los Angeles and start performing in the USA. - info from http://blushband.com/

We saw them performed 4 songs yesterday and I heard the news from their manager that they group will travel back to L.A. to record more songs for their upcoming album that will be released soon. I have videos of their performance from yesterday and I’ll post it here soon in my blog.

Jon Niermann introduces to us the girl group BLUSH infront of us media and bloggers, btw, Jon Niermann hosted the show "Asia UnCut" that was shown in Star World, he interviews a lot of Asian stars and also celebrities around the world. He is also the former president of Walt Disney, Asia-Pacific, and he produces the talent search in Asi called "Project Lotus" to form the first ever Pan-Asian girl group that will soon be called BLUSH.
